Jackpotjoy has a new Monarch

Since 2010, Barbara Windsor has been the ambassador for Jackpotjoy, playing the role of the fun-loving Queen of Bingo. After 7 amazing years of Barbara, a successor has been named in the form of Paddy McGuinness. It was a natural decision, with Paddy being one of the nation’s favourite presenters and entertainers and someone who, like Barbara, encapsulates all the fun, cheeky and feel-good qualities of the site.

The story of the transition from one royal ruler to another is being broadcast in a television campaign, where the Queen of Bingo and His Majesty discuss the succession. The Queen cedes the throne, safe in the knowledge that he is the man for the job and Paddy begins by encouraging everyone to ‘Grab Fun by the Balls’.

As part of the integrated campaign, there is an ‘Up for Grabs’ promotion whereby Jackpotjoy is giving away an extra 10,000 cash prizes every day as well as advertising faux-royal merchandise in the shape of royal plates to land the idea of a new monarch with their audience. The plates can be won by Jackpotjoy players, as well as non-registrants, to celebrate the succession. It’s even attracted attention from one of daytime television’s biggest stars, Philip Schofield!

This sharp, new-look monarch, has been timed to coincide with the recent release of the HTML version of the site. It has given the whole brand a defined, chic quality, which they know their players will love.
