Gamesys Continues to Grow
With the company continuing to grow, things were becoming a bit of a squeeze at Gamesys HQ! So the company took the decision to increase their office capacity, leasing the majority of the first floor of their Piccadilly Circus home in late 2016. Based on feedback from the employee Pulse survey, the new space was designed as a breakout/café area, with additional training and learning zones, an extra meeting room and spacious seating areas (perfect for the odd Friday beer!)
Moving the breakout area from its previous home on the 6th floor meant this space could now be turned into a long overdue Quiet Zone, where employees could work without distraction. Styled much like private booths on aeroplanes, this floor has provided a great escape from the bustle of office life since it opened in early April 2017.
Gamesys hope that the new areas, including the new Pool and Ping Pong tables, will provide employees with more places to think, work and play creatively.
Director of People, Tina Southall, said: “It’s fantastic to see so many of our employees using and loving the new spaces. Our team put in a variety of great furniture options from beach hut pods and high benches to tiered collaboration units – most of which have been kitted out with screens and connectivity. Everything seems popular! But I’m struck in the main by how happy and engaged people look when they’re in the new areas. We strongly believe happy employees do everything better, have more fun and are more loyal. It’s always nice to give employees something they wanted, but the investment makes sense commercially too.”
